So dA is 15.  Happy Birthday dA!  With the recent changes I've noticed some of the grumbling of the artists not liking the changes.  I certainly hope some of the rumors going around aren't true because this is one of my favorite sites to visit everyday and I would hate for the dA we all know and love to go away forever.

Anyway, here's my try at their questionnaire:

1.    How long have you been on DeviantArt?

Apparently for 5 years now.  That's what my page says!  If not for that, I wouldn't even have known that.

2.    What does your username mean?

I think I started out with "bumpthat".  I've been bumpthat in one form or another for years and years.  It's a reference to volleyball, the sport that I've always been big into.  It didn't last long here and I became "aangfan" after my first loved universe.  When my ATLA obsession spread into manga and anime in general, I wanted something a little more universal.  I used to be into yoga and spiritual things....and the term "chakra" is used in my favorite manga/anime Naruto, so chakragoddess it became.

3.    Describe yourself in three words.

Loyal, smart, independent

4.    Are you left or right handed?

Right

5.    What was your first deviation?

The first chapter of my first fanfiction "Avatar:  The Story Continues".  September 2010.

6.
What is your favourite type of art to create?

I wish I was good at drawing.  And even if I had the inclination to get better, I don't have that kind of time.  So I write fanfiction.

7.    If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?

Ummm.....see above.  I have a tablet and photoshop and the desire to get better.  I'm just missing the time.

8.
What was your first favourite?

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm sure it was ATLA-based.  That's what I was into when I first joined.

9.      Wh
at type of art do you tend to favourite the most?

Amazing digital art in the universes that are my favorites.

10.    Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?

That's a difficult one.  I love a lot of the artists on here.  I love the "big guns", the ones who make buck off of doing this.  Sakimichan, mattiasfahlberg, and the like.  I also really enjoy a good doujinshi and love it when an artist creates a good one.  Cassy-F-E has one I'm fangirlling over right now.

11.    If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?

There is no one in particular.  I did meet an artist at a smaller con once and it was major awkward (I guess everyone isn't always suited for the face-to-face part of things).  So I'm just fine having that electronic connection.  But I would like to go to the artist alley in a bigger con and actually buy art in person.

12.
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?

No, not really.  I have commissioned several pieces and they are hanging on my wall.  So I do see art that I commissioned from this site in my home everyday.

13.
What are your preferred tools to create art?

When I try to draw, its the good ol' tablet and photoshop.  But usually, it is just my HP laptop and Microsoft Word.

14.    Wh
at is the most inspirational place for you to create art?

I love having days in a row with nothing to do.  No one is in the house, and just sitting in my favorite blue chair in the family room creating fanfiction and listing to my favorite instumental music (no lyrics, because I can't concentrate properly).

15.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?

Creating my own group and watching it grow over the years.  Participating in NaruFest 2012 (my favorite part was the dA scavenger hunt).

Well hello there!  I took a little break (hopefully you didn't miss me too much!) after finishing "Repatriation" to travel for a few weeks, attend a horse show or two, etc.  I sat there in my living room a few days ago and really had no motivation to start writing again.  For most of my fanfics, I get great ideas from new anime I'm watching (or manga I'm reading) and just can't wait to put pen to paper (so to speak).

This time happened like a TWACK! to the head.  I had thought about starting a next generation kind of fanfic in the Naruto universe.  Now, most of you know, I am NOT a huge fan of OCs.  I do have a few that I've added to stories, mostly in lesser roles or as support characters, but all-in-all, I just can't get behind OCs for the most part (not a judgement for those of you who love and adore your own OCs, just the way that I am).  Did I dare venture into a world where there were a ton of OCs.  I didn't really want to.  Most of the time when I see people create OCs, either they aren't introduced well so the reader never invests themselves into them, or they are the full center-of-attention and the reader really isn't interested.

So...being cognizant of this, I hope I came to a happy medium!  I have just finished my story outline for "A New King Emerges".  You Naruto fans know who the "king" is right?  Yep, you got it.

A continuation of sorts of "Repatriation", but not as Sasuke/Sakura-oriented.  The main story still revolves around the shinobi from Konoha that we know and love, but now as they get older, get married, have kids, etc.  I hope you enjoy!  First chapter will hopefully be posted in the next week!

It's coming very soon.  I need to finish a chapter today, but I think it will last probably one more chapter to close it out.  I've been on this fanfic since June 2012 (I think)...and I loved it all the way.  I guess the 30-40+ chapter fanfic is my niche...whatever I do, that's how long they seem to be.  And I'm busy so only 1 chapter a week is really do-able.

That being said, I thought to myself, "I'm going to take a break...watch some anime, read some manga.  I have no real new plot bunnies in any universe really pushing me to write more right now."  And then what always happens, happened.  I think I know what I want my next fanfic to be.  It's kind a continuation of Repatriation, but not really.  I love romance and shipping and pairings....and in Repatriation, there have been quite a few pair ups already.  How about fast forwarding it about 10 or so years to where the leaders and teachers of the village (in the Naruto world) are Naruto and his peers and their kids are the ones at the academy.

It's probably been done before.  It's hard to come up with something completely new.  But I haven't read any that have really peaked my interest yet.  Perhaps I can make one?  Hmmm......

Let's see how long a break I can take before I am compelled to start writing the next one.  :)
